Based in Aberdeenshire, Julia Lyon is a Lantra qualified Advanced Bit and Bridle Consultant offering a professional, horse-centred fitting service throughout the North East of Scotland, the Highlands, and the Islands.
Julia is proud to be an official bit fitter for Fager, Sprenger and Bombers Bits, and an approved Bit & Bridle Fitter for Horsemanship Saddlery UK, Evo Equine, Shires and Expert Bits. Julia also carries bits from Myler, Trust, BR Bits and many others to provided her clients with a fully independent bitting & bridle fitting service. With extensive experience working with horses and ponies of all types, Julia is passionate about improving comfort, communication, and performance through correctly fitted bits and bridles. Julia is currently undertaking the Society of Master Saddlers Assured City & Guilds Bridle Course to underpin her fitting skills.
Julia is also a British Dressage List 4 judge, and a regular Coach at her local Pony Club & several local BRC affiliated riding clubs.
