Based in Aberdeenshire, Julia Lyon is a Lantra qualified Advanced Bit and Bridle Consultant offering a professional, horse-centred fitting service throughout the North East of Scotland, the Highlands, and the Islands.

Julia is an independent bit and bridle fitter, working with a wide range of horses and ponies to improve comfort, communication and performance through correctly fitted equipment.
She is proud to be an official bit fitter for Fager, Sprenger and Bomber Bits, and an approved bit and bridle fitter for Horsemanship Saddlery UK, Evo Equine, Shires and Expert Bits. She also carries additional ranges including Myler, Trust and BR Bits, allowing for a fully independent and unbiased fitting service tailored to each horse.
With extensive experience across a variety of types and disciplines, Julia focuses on practical, horse-led fitting solutions that prioritise comfort and clarity of communication.
She is currently undertaking the Society of Master Saddlers Assured City & Guilds Bridle Course to further underpin her knowledge and fitting practice.

Julia is also a British Dressage List 4 judge, and a regular Coach at her local Pony Club & several local BRC affiliated riding clubs.
